Lead Gas Station Attendant
Full-time permanent role: Moonbeam, ON
Role: The Lead Gas Station Attendant supports smooth day-to-day operations by delivering excellent customer service, overseeing fueling and payment processes, and ensuring a clean, safe, and compliant environment. In addition to regular Gas Station Attendant duties, the Lead Gas Station Attendant is responsible for providing on-shift guidance to team members, assisting with issue resolution and helping maintain operational flow.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, handling inquiries, resolving concerns, and ensuring smooth transaction processing.
- Operate and oversee POS systems and lottery machine, handling cash/card payments accurately and ensuring end-of-shift cash reconciliation.
- Monitor fuel pumps and assist with refueling, propane exchanges (if certified), and perform daily fuel inventory checks.
- Maintain cleanliness and order across all areas of the station, including restrooms and pumps, while reporting maintenance issues promptly.
- Act as the main point of contact for other attendants, providing on-shift leadership and support.
- Assist in training and onboarding new team members, promoting consistent service standards and procedures.
- Coordinate and adjust shift schedules as needed to maintain adequate staffing and coverage.
- Oversee inventory and supply levels, assist with product orders, and ensure promotional materials and signage are in place.
- Communicate key updates and concerns to management and support the implementation of new policies, safety procedures, and operational initiatives.
IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Location: Moonbeam, ON
- Typical schedule: On-site position. 40 hours per week, usually Monday-Friday, but may include evenings, weekends and statutory holidays.
- Travel requirements: 0%
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience as a store clerk or retail experience preferred. Supervisory experience preferred.
- Language: Bilingual French and English, written and spoken required.
- Technology: Familiar with basic computer and POS systems.
- Additional skills: Able to read, write, perform basic math and follow safety procedures. Strong communication, multitasking, and decision-making skills. Must be able to lift and/move items up to 20 lbs.
